SixByNine.net was founded in 2007 by Data Components Software Development and Xeta Space as a simple social network. The intention of SixByNine.net is to provide a simple and easy-to-use community for contacting friends and family when e-mail isn't always available or preferred.
Why "SixByNine"?
The name "SixByNine" is derived from "six by nine". The phrase came from the book The Restaurant at the End of the Universe and the quote was "What do you get if you multiply six by nine?" Applying it to SixByNine.net, you can notice that the quote would mean "What do you get if you become a member (multiply) of SixByNine?"
